"Birds born in a cage think flying is an illness." - Alejandro Jodorowsky
"America is not so much a nightmare as a non-dream. The American non-dream is precisely a move to wipe the dream out of existence. The dream is a spontaneous happening and therefore dangerous to a control system set up by the non-dreamers." -- William S. Burroughs
Don't really care about this "crime" one way or the other, and does not affect my opinion of Raymer, although I am disgusted by the police department wasting resources on this sh*t.
I guess the moral of this story is even if you are going to use Backpage to find prostitutes, you should still double check the erotic review and only pick girls that have a lot of positive reviews and avoid unreviewed providers.
vegas youre right but im not saying he can win at trial. if it's on tape and there isnt a procedural or constitutional law fuck up by the police he will almost certainly lose at trial (unless the prosecutor is incompetent or the judge or a juror is a fossilman fanboy). but the power of having money in a situation like this is the ability to present to the state a possible war of attrition that the state will have to fight just to get a conviction for a relatively harmless crime. state makes a cost benefit analysis and sometimes says fuck that noise, "here's a plea offer". state has no motivation to do that now that raymers attorney just told the whole world his client is guilty. perry mason shoulda said either "my client looks forward to clearing his good name in a court of law no matter how long it takes for justice to be done. in the meantime, please give my client and his family some space" or "no comment".

i don't think he is trying to fight it because it is probably all just a whole bunch of nothing (from a legal standpoint). When he goes to his court date they will probably just make it a misdemeanor fine, and then that is it.
What you are charged with at the police station does not really matter. What matters is what actually goes down in court, which will probably be nothing.
Chances are his lawyer has already talked to the DA, and the admission/apology is part of the deal.
I understand having real life stings, as it keeps the streets "clean". But when it's all being done online, then it's just a total waste or resources.
Also, I have been offered money for sexual services somewhere around 4 times (including somebody offering to pay me to give me a BJ). So far I have declined every time, but I always try and see how much I could get.
I guess now he's older he still can't resist but now he has to pay rather than be paid.FossilMan [observer]: phx, have fun, and play smart! I have to leave now
sheets: Greg have you publicly commented on the David Williams situation?
FossilMan [observer]: what situation? the porno?
micon: he did in my chat w/him a while back
sheets: nwp could be the place to reveal youtr take,
micon: he has a down-to-earth view on it....
GROGAN: more poker players should do porno
sheets: pornois such a judgmental word
micon: I have said many times "who cares"
neverwin [observer]: are u guys really having this convo?
FossilMan [observer]: ok, then; artistic nude acting?

FossilMan [observer]: no, I have not commented on it; it's amusing, but who really cares?

micon: i couldn't agree more
FossilMan [observer]: ooh, oooh
FossilMan [observer]: can I be the almond?
FossilMan [observer]: I like almonds

micon: in a perfect world no one would judge him for it
GROGAN: I think its great
FossilMan [observer]: I don't judge him; I just find it an amusing situation
micon: it is very funny. He actually bought the master copy a few months ago
FossilMan [observer]: when I was young and single, I don't see how I could have turned down an offer to have sex with an attractive woman for money
micon: well... the word "sex" is a liberal use of what went down...
DLizzle [observer]: haha
FossilMan [observer]: have fun all; play smart

I think it is an interesting to speculate on what the % of adult men in the US who have ever solicited a prostitute is? I think it is definitely in the double digits. If you include paying a little extra at the end of a massage for a happy ending, I think the number could reach 50%.
I guess the moral of the story is, who cares? Why are we moralizing and making a big deal of a guy getting entrapped by the police doing something that a high % of guys do and most people don't even find immoral in the first place?
yeah here's hoping a deal was reached. crimes where you end up a registered sex offender shouldn't be taken lightly. whole thing is just absurd...what kind of country are we living in when one consenting adult cant pay another consenting adult a little bit change for a BJ without having to be worried about being labeled a sex offender and being lumped in with the rapists and the chesters. btw rapist, RIP little buddy.
