They must be getting ruined by OpenOffice and Google docs. Those anti-Google attack ads Microsoft has been running just reek of desperation.
Who remembers the Microsoft Internet Explorer versus Netscape battles of the 1990s?
Netscape (the predecessor to Mozilla Firefox) was owning Microsoft silly, and it was really pissing them off.
Finally Internet Explorer overtook Netscape when Netscape kept crashing on Windows 98, which I have to believe was intentional on Microsoft's part. I always thought Internet Explorer sucked, and stuck with Netscape for as long as I could until the crashes were unbearable.
For some reason I never adopted Firefox, but ditched IE after Chrome came out. Chrome is a superior browser to the rest, ESPECIALLY on older/slower computers.
This is a preview version. 0.0% Microsoft will give away Office for free. It is a huge money earner for them.
If you have installed an Office 365 plan, the Preview will expire approximately 60 days after the next version of Office becomes available in your market. As the date approaches, you will receive notifications in the Office applications alerting you to the pending expiration. Once the Preview has expired, the applications enter read-only mode, which means that you can view or print documents only, it isn’t possible to create new documents, edit, or save them. You must uninstall the Preview version of Office before installing a newer version of Office.
