Elvis is called the King for a reason. He's fantastic.
We already have a christmas song thread so this is kinda redundant.
A thread started to celebrate his birthday as an excuse would have been more appropriate than a silly christmas song. It would make it topical & a better way honour to a great entertainer.
Good idea for a thread just a little mis-timed is all.

Elvis was and still is the King but he died at 42. He had two major slumps in his career but always bounced back. It's reasonable to believe that had he lived a more healthy life and not died at a relatively young age he had the potential to do even more.
Ironically, after his death his estate and body of work earns millions of dollars more each year than Elvis did when alive. It's only logical he would have accomplished more had he lived but he has reached mythic status in death.
