That being said, at the policy level and when it comes to political violence the radical left is much more antisemetic and violent in action. The young right seems to just be online larping.
Which is problematic in a different way, in that they aggressively online attack and abuse moderate republicans who aren’t “based” enough for them, which has possibly cost republicans elections in contested districts. But because they are mostly stupid and just doing it for the lolz they don’t even care.
Correct.
This is a bizarre "scandal", because it's been clear for a long time that the alt-right is full of bigots.
Just like the far left is full of communists who feel violent revolution is necessary to destroy our capitalist society.
Both groups hate Jews and both believe a shadowy conspiracy exists to allow their behind-the-scenes evil rule over America.
Shapiro was right, though. The GOP needs to completely eject that element from the party, even if it causes some temporary losses. It will be better for the party long term. This won't happen because Trump has the "I like everyone who likes me" problem, so he won't aggressively come at this element, even though I doubt he agrees with much of their bullshit.
Matt Walsh will be gone from Daily Wire soon enough. He's already been saying things in code that he doesn't care for Israel very much.
