Yes, it did catch me off guard that you can get 10 free @McDonalds @MonopolyGO game pieces per day using the alternative method. Odds of winning (mostly food) are 1 in 5 so essentially, a customer who doesn’t buy any food can receive 2 free food items per day for spending $0 at a restaurant. The free food is at the cost of where the redemption takes place, there’s no “reimbursement” from Corp. It’s our promotion that we fund ourselves.

I understand that AMOE is mandated by law so we aren’t considered a lottery, which only govt’s can do, but how many do you offer?

Historically, you had to send in a request with a self-stamped return envelope. This would cut down on actual requests because it took more effort and your own money to request. Now it’s electronic. I would think we would offer one for the entire promotion period, I was surprised to see people can do 5 requests per day.

I will follow up on this, hopefully there is a good reason why we landed on this but I do expect further dialogue and what our future strategy should be.

The "McFranchisee" guy above is a McDonald's franchise owner who is disgusted with how this loophole is fucking him. He's taking a risk by making it public, as it might make people more aware of this loophole to cost him more money. I think this is smart, as it will force attention on the corporate side, and they will close the loophole.

Step 1:

Submitted all of my info on the website I posted above. In the interest of not getting spammed to death, and to protect myself against the inevitable data breach, I used a throwaway email address and phony info.

However, I have never requested these free game pieces before, so I am adhering to their one-per-person rule.

I think what the guy is trying to say is that you can make 5 request per day, which gets you 10 codes.

The final rule I posted (see that pink screen shot) says you can do 10 codes per day. I'm not sure how you make additional requests. I'll try with the same email and see if it takes it. If not, I'm not going to bother doing 5 of them because it's a pain to enter all the info.

I do see how this can be exploited by people willing to put the time in, though. Especially if they just multi-account the McDonald's app, which isn't hard to do.

I just applied for the first two codes. We'll see how long it takes them to arrive. I will try again if I get them.

It took about 4 hours, but I finally got the first two codes. I won medium french fries on the first one, and got one of the Illinois Avenue game pieces on the second, so 1/3 of Kennedy Space Center trip. I am sure the other two pieces will be much more difficult to find. Each of the game codes also came with a bonus spin for another chance to win, but neither of my bonus spins won anything.

Okay, I understand better now.

You indeed can do 5 requests to the same email per day (12am-1159pm EDT), each of which gets you 2 codes.

You can enter up to 10 codes per day per McDonald's app account.

Multi-accounters could register several McDonald's app accounts (either on the same device by deleting it and reloading it over and over), or simply using multiple devices. Then they could keep using different emails to get 10 codes each (5 requests each), and enter 10 codes per account.

A lot of effort for some free fast food, but it would work.
