I didn’t know that anyone can upload their podcasts for free to Spotify. You just need a podcast host to store your audio files and generate a RSS feed. Spotify For Creators is a free service.

Don't worry too much about listening on his Spotify channel.
He for sure isn't monetized, nor is he close to it.
Here are the requirements to get monetized:
Have published at least 12 episodes
Hit at least 10,000 consumption hours on Spotify in the last 30 days
Hit at least 2,000 people who have streamed on Spotify in the last 30 days
I have PFA Radio on there. As Pickleball mentioned, anyone can join Spotify -- all you need is an RSS feed and a place to drop the MP3 of your show. PFA automatically generates that stuff, which is why it's so easy for me to post my show anywhere except YouTube (where I have to manually convert it to video and manually upload it).
Anyway, Chrissy will never get to 10,000 consumption hours because he doesn't put out long enough content.
If I tried hard enough, I could probably get there with the 2,000 people. I already have the hours (at least when my show is more actively being created, which I've slowed down a lot lately), but the # of people using Spotify isn't 2000. My audience is all over the place on different platforms.
Anyway, you can just listen on Spotify and know that Chrissy won't be getting paid for it.

@Pickleball, i didn't do anything special, them are linked from his Fakebook page not his spotify videos although they are the same videos he uploaded to both sites... still haven't figured out how to download videos from spotify, there is one video on spotify where he is wearing a red jersey that he didn't upload to FB, so can't download it... downloading the audio from his podcast is no problem from spotify, it's the videos from spotify that i can't get...
