We are in a time when a 20-35B company isn't all that much anymore. When the most expensive Market Cap was sub/At 1T this would have been crazy. Now we at 3.5T for Nvidia its not even 1%.
One or more of these companies is, in theory, making a play to replace Nvidia and potentially other computer companies. The US government is directly invested in making this "a thing". Way better for the USA to invent Quantum computing than any other country (China). They get to a point where they have functional Computers and they are capable of what is theorized $30B is going to seem real cheap.
Or they never get there and poof goes $50B between them all.
I don't think the valuation is as crazy on a go forward basis as some suggest.
