yeah a lot of what constitutes 'china' is dogshit fascist horrors but at the end of the day, their society is moving forwards evolutionarily and ours is moving backwards towards anti-intellectualism and economic/social inequality/instability.
i get that the 80 year cycle plays into all this here in the states but when we come out the other side, chinas going to be the only superpower left. whether or not we rebound from that is another conversation entirely of course.
