But he doesn't have it right about MTG, Boebert, and Mace. He thinks they feel obligated to speak up for women, but that's bullshit. Those three are huge narcissists and are only out for themselves. They don't give a shit about other women.
They co-sponsored it because all three of them are brash outsiders whose profile rises when they can kick up mud, so that's what they're doing. None of those three are ever going to be part of the GOP establishment, so they might as well be muckrakers. That's the correct answer.
The other part of the answer is that it's not so much about them fearing Trump, but rather Trump fearing the ones on the list. In politics, it's a "I scratch your back, you scratch mine" situation, so it's simply not good politics to throw important figures in your own party under the bus, and to make it clear to everyone else not involved that you won't have loyalty to them. If Trump is to get cooperation from other GOP bigwigs, he needs to play ball and show that he's a team player.
I don't believe he did anything bad with Epstein. I do believe he hung out with Epstein enough to where it would look bad if fully understood, and was definitely aware of what Epstein was about (hence his later distancing from him). So he would have to field questions as to why he kept associating with a pedo, and then face more questions if he did any of that himself, even though he probably didn't.
Remember, if there was dirt to be had on Trump regarding this, Biden and the DNC would've exposed it years ago.
Once again, this is a situation where too many careers on both sides will be destroyed, and perhaps Bill Clinton's legacy will be tainted, so everyone just wants it to go away, save for a few outsiders.

Trump is the clear head of the Republican Party. He has been for over 9 years, and will continue to be for at least another 3 1/2, and perhaps more, unless he dies earlier than that.
If there was a shocking revelation about him in the Epstein files, Biden and company would have released it already, even if it otherwise caused collateral damage. Trump is just too valuable of a target to pass up.
The lack of this occurring, but the subsequent hesitation by Trump himself to keep his promise about Epstein, should tell you a few things:
1) Trump didn't do anything that bad, if anything
2) There are prominent Republicans who would be ruined by the revelations
3) There are prominent Democrats who would be ruined by the revelations
I should also note that there is not even one credible woman who has come forward and accused Trump of doing sexual things with her when she was underage. Not one. That should say a lot, too.
Sometimes the lack of something tells you a lot more than the presence of something.
2 & 3 have left us at this impasse. Neither party holds the moral high ground. Both have everything to lose.
However, this is not simply an issue of sexual crimes and abuse. There is an interest in learning which US institutions (CIA…) and which foreign countries might have had involvement and that is important to me personally. I have a right to know what my representatives and government are up to.
I suspect the deep state (sickeningly trite, I know) is the over riding concern. There is very little genuine concern about the girls. Recently, the girls unanimously claim nobody from Justice has been in touch with them. That’s consistent.

I don’t know what is making him bury this, but whatever it is, it’s personal and directly impacts him. Or who it impacts can bury him directly and badly for something else he did. That last thought makes more sense for as to why his rivals didn’t bring it up.
I mean the Epstein scandal for the most part was always a story of him procuring young vulnerable girls and turning them into playthings for the Uber wealthy. Epstein might be the only one who was an actual pedophile by the classical definition. He’s the only one I have ever seen linked to shit like 13 and 12 year olds.

The notion of Ghisilaine being another victim is particularly grotesque. Them going easy on her is the worst part of this story. She is almost as bad as him. You could make an argument she is worse. Whenever I have heard those girls talk, she was the one who approached. She was the one who got them to let their guard down. To some sixteen year old girl with a single mom, she seemed sophisticated, would refer to him as her boyfriend. She would lower their defenses and they’d think clearly this isn’t something totally freaky if she’s hiring me.
However many victims there are, I would posit there would be 1/3rd that number if not for how skilled she was at recruiting these girls. She was the main player to cultivate them. She should be under the prison.
The “victims” could clear this up quickly.
