She also had at least one other dog die in her care and gave the owner of that dog another one of the same breed trying to trick the owner into thinking his dog was still alive and tried to do the same thing to Bart but ran out of time. And... The dogs that DIDN'T die under her care came back WORSE than they left. At the VERY least I'd ask for my money back, at the VERY worst, I'm beating the shit out of this woman and risking jail time for assault if I were in Bart's shoes.
This is one of those things that we'll never know but i'm going to guess there's a 50% chance this lady did Bart a favor.

If you got a dog with a breed profile that's not compatible with your kid you get a breed that is compatible. You can't train away what they are at their core.
People often find out the hard way, years go by no issues then out of the blue someone or their other dog get attacked.

I've personally seen it, think back on the dogs you owned I bet there's a couple times out of the blue they nipped someone.

I say ban her from training dogs is a fair punishment.

    BUMP

She pled guilty but got no jail time. Terrible.

Mom also pled guilty, and got same deal.

If ever a situation called for jail time, it's this one. It involved repeated scamming, egregious animal cruelty resulting in death (again, repeatedly, in different states), and obstruction of justice. Regardless of her lack of serious record before this, she should have spent time behind bars.

This is yet another example of young white female privilege in the justice system. Had I done these things, there's a very high chance I'd be spending time in prison. I believe a black or Hispanic female also would have seen prison time.

    Shameful.

To be fair, the victim was Bart Hanson which might have influenced the judge if he, like much of the country regrets taking the Covid vaccine.

She absolutely deserves to be in jail but I'm curious how many people go to jail for animal cruelty? Sounds like it's only in the most violent incidents and even then it's pretty tame time served.

I also may have missed it but was Bart pushing for jail time?

Bart was very much pushing for jail time, but it’s not up to him.

This goes way beyond animal cruelty. It was done repeatedly to a lot of different victims. It was part of a felony-level financial scam. She also obstructed justice in various ways.

The DA could have easily demanded she accept some prison time as part of a plea, and shown her how she was dead to rights on the charges and could otherwise go away for a long time.

The problem is that she can cry in court about her gambling problem and how she’s so sorry and how this was just negligence and not an outright scam. The judge and jury could take pity, whereas they wouldn’t if it were a dude or a black chick.

So they accepted this sweetheart deal.

You guys are nuts, this was fair.
I was going to say ask someone who has seen both sides , someone like Bernard Kerik.
I just found out he's dead. wow.

    Newsflash

The United States has the largest absolute prison population in the world, with nearly two million people incarcerated, and also has the highest incarceration rate per capita. Other countries with large incarceration numbers include China, Brazil, and India, but the U.S. leads significantly in both total prisoners and the proportion of its population behind bars.

By your guys standards lets throw everyone who eats meat in jail. Think of the amount of death and cruelty that goes on so they can gorge on big macs and whoppers.

The US is a combination of a first world country which pursues criminals, and one which has the highest crime rate of all first world countries.

The issue shouldn't be the percentage of population in prison. The issue should be what percentage of them are guilty, and if near 100%, if the sentence is sensible for the crime. If it is, then the number of people incarcerated isn't an issue -- maybe a societal issue, but not a criminal justice one.

Let's say 60% of humans were murderous psychopaths, and the other 40% were peaceful and law-abiding. It would make sense to imprison those 60%, right?

Talking about our prison population versus other countries is a left wing trick to pass soft-on-crime policy. It's manipulation via statistics. Don't fall for it.

Bart is trying to be called to speak to Congress about this huge injustice in his mind……

No, not the dog, the probable pulling of the Covid vaccine for most healthy Americans. Clown will be going to the black market or traveling abroad to get his fix.

concurrent with this new push to get to the bottom of the vaccines, i would like a real give a shit committee to investigate the origins of this contagion and whether intentional lies were told to us about it throughout this process, followed by appropriate punishments including dunking and tar and feathering. if this leads back to us, so be it, let the chips fall where they may, same w china.

but we can't even get a single name of an epstein child fucker. not a single name. so lol at my ranting.
