If this is going to be genocide nonsense, then it's simply repeating false Hamas propaganda and ignoring a lot of obvious counter-facts, and there's nothing I can do except wonder how we got here.

Two things can be true at once. One can acknowledge that Israel is just defending themselves, that it's Hamas and other enemies of Israel wanting to commit the genocide, and that most of the anti-Israel propaganda we've seen over the last two years has been false. At the same time, you can also argue that you believe the money/effort the US spends on Israel isn't worth the returns we are getting.

But I rarely see such nuanced opinions expressed. It's a lot of all-or-nothing bullshit, where any problem with US/Israel relations automatically turns into Israel being evil and being genocidal maniacs.

in re: the supposed genocide -- i really don't know. i doubt any/many of us do. we are constantly lied to by the media and our leaders, in all directions. given this, i do not have an informed opinion about what is/isn't happening there nor how it has reached this point. so, i just listen until i can make a more informed opinion, if ever.

my point above about our funding israel and their neighbors, more or less, goes for the rest of the industrialized world too, and especially Europe. i am glad for some level of funding going to help the truly poor countries better themselves - if and only if we can be confident that the money will be spent appropriately. otherwise, they too are out of luck.

regardless of what is actually happening in gaza/israel now, the jews are losing this battle in all ways save militarily. the world has changed too much in the last few decades. israel will suffer more from this moving forward than they realize.
You can't argue against this
