Look at all the countries around "Palestine". They all suck. If there was no Israel, whatever shitty Arab govt and people that existed would still suck, be overpopulated, and be starving. Probably more so, because Westerners wouldn't be providing so much aid out of guilt. It would basically be Syria or Yemen, which are much worse humanitarian disasters than Palestine.
The Arab world's problems are completely internal, due mainly to backwardness and overpopulation of low value people (relative to what their economic conditions can handle). This is true for Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Egypt, Libya, Algeria, etc. etc. Israel and the Jews are just a convenient scapegoat that stupid, corrupt leaders use to keep their fellow stupid people in line. 80 years of wagging the dog while the whole region is a giant pile of internally created suckiness.
The only Arab countries that don't suck are the ones that aren't backward and overpopulated, mainly due to how the autocratic central govts have kept a tight hold on natural resource wealth and strictly controlled the population size and behavior of the people living there (and allowing no low IQ, low human value immigrants such as Palestinians, only workers that have to leave). If places like Qatar and Saudi Arabia, who need immigrant labor more than we do, had our immigration and human rights laws they would be giant piles of shit too filled with backwards Palestinians, Egyptians and Pakistanis bringing their horrible, dysfunctional backwards cultures on the host nation.
