Speaking of flashlights- Back in the 80s and 90s, the Mag Lite flashlight ruled the Christmas present domain. They also ruled in the law enforcement world as most cops carried them and use them to subdue as suspect, ask Rodney King.

Sad part, Mag Lite could not keep up with the market pace and adjust their new models and designs and got passed up. Today, they still dont have any USB rechargeable lights.

I skipped around that video looking for key points. I will list some random notes below-

    - A lot or all of the lights seemed to be made in China, dont like that.

    - These are more of the consumer grade glam flashlights and I like the tactical police level lights.

    - I did see an O Light in there and I am not a fan of them. I also say Nebo and I own one of those, again consumer grade, but nice. There was a Fenix light in there and they have a model I like- the PD 36, pretty night. (If Druff was really into lights, he would be a Fenix fan)

Was there a specific model in the video you liked? Sorry I can be of much help here, but interesting video with the temp screen page.

I merged 2 other flashlight threads here (one by Ryback, one by Frankrizzo).

Please post all flashlight content to this thread in the future. Thank you.

With that in mind, I just use flashlights alot and prefer the tactical types with USB recharging capabilities. Some of my main brands are- Pelican, then Surefire for the pistols and a Streamlight. I do like the Streamlight Protac HPL light right now, but dont have one.

Here is the slimmer Protac HL that is USB rechargeable-

Ive also been chatting with a member here about a rock solid long term USB flashlight investment. I did recommend that Streamlight ProTac HPL to him or the slimmer HL.

Anyone else use or like certain brands or models?
That pic looks just like my sons flashlight, very small. He is going to try and work as a park ranger next summer. His last day was yesterday , he is driving with my wife to florida to begin 2nd year in college at Central Florida UNiversity they are taking all his shit down. By myself for 2 weeks wife working remotely which is a plus. once we are residents believe tuition will be 8k as opposed to 45 k at msu. Nice to have him home again. Made six k in 3plus months. 24k for this year for college. My dad gave him nice inheritance now has way more then he needs for college.

FR- Good to hear. Just a note on flashlights, I think he (and you) would really be happy with the Streamlight model line in the future. In my opinion, those lUSB rechargeable LED become long term investments. I have two of those Pro-Tac HPLs and they are great. Druff has one too, but wont admit it here because he doesnt want to be teased here.

Hope you get a Streamlight yourself soon.

He will have a really nice resume . Think he is planning on getting a masters, did speak about getting employment at emt. He dropped 3 friends because they aren't motivated , smoke a lot of pot.
