Jun 23, 2025- After abruptly closing 18 of its 19 restaurants in Colorado back in February (one in Grand Junction remained), many were left without their crinkle cut fries and Del burritos and tacos, but one location has reopened in Lone Tree.
Del Taco returns to Colorado
Tonight I went to my local LA County Del Taco and got the "limit time" carnitas, burrito. It was not that good and I can tell I will be sick later on tonight. The carnitas smelled like fish and I threw half of it out. I did not pull a Druff and go talk to the manager, we just went home.
I did want to add that the independent Del Taco in Barstow, CA on Lenwood Road has the carnitas year round and they are very good. Last time I was there, the cook made mine pretty fat and it was nice for the Vegas Drive. Druff has stopped at Lenwood in the past and can confirm all of this.
Side note- i lived in Vegas in 1997 and 1998 and still bought the Lenwood carnitas burritos then and would bring extra back to the Vegas pad, they have always been that good.
