    Living here part time, and currently here it’s an interesting conundrum between growth and preservation. The businesses love the tourism dollars but some old timers don’t want anything to change.

    I’m all for keeping the lake clean and clear but the reality is it’s up to the visitors to keep it that way. I was at the beach last week and it’s sad how the visitors (mostly from CA) don’t give a damn. They leave trash on the beach, feed the geese and generally don’t care about the beauty of the area.

    As for Palisades this was a fair agreement. The additional building is great for the area and tax base, even if it is in CA. Now if we could just change it back to its proper name…..SQUAW VALLEY.
