The main three requirements to get monetized on X:
1) 5 million views in 90 days
2) At least 500 blue checkmark followers
3) Have a blue checkmark yourself
Here's my stats for the past 3 months:
You can see I'm just short of the 5m threshold, but that most of the views have come since May 7. This essentially gives me another month-plus to get just 300k or so views.
I got that huge boost from my early coverage of the YouTuber shooting in front of Bellagio last month.
However, as you can see by other blips, I've had various other tweets over 100k views, including one yesterday. In general, I've gotten better at posting tweets likely to get engagement, while at the same time making them informative and accurate. I will never resort to clickbait or fake news.
This isn't going to make me big money, but it will be nice to get some of Elon's sweet cash.
