While Jaguar has definitely suffered from their woke rebrand, this is a different company.
Believe it or not, the drug category they're developing is very much needed. There are not reliable medicines at the moment to deal with chronic diarrhea and urgency (often known as IBS-D). The only remedies are temporary, such as Immodium, and often these send you too much in the other direction. There is not a good medication yet to control routine IBS-D.
If such a medicine could be developed, it would be extremely lucrative.
The problem is that this is far easier said than done. They often fail trials, including Phase 3, and all the R&D money goes down the drain. This can cause smaller companies like Jaguar Health to see a big pop in their stock when the medication is announced/being tested, but a complete crash when it fails trials.
