If anything, doesn’t this whole situation show that the notion of false flags and shit like that is largely just tinfoil shit? Not saying it never happens, but not very often.
This strike is a total loser for Trump. Iran has never had a successful terrorist attack on US soil. Even back in 79/80, they took 52 hostages and gave us back 52 hostages. They struck us one time over there the first Trump presidency, but only after we killed one of theirs under the pretense he was going to be a threat to us in the future.
There is no world where they were a threat to the US homeland.
Fuck he sucks Saudi Arabia’s dick when every guy at the towers was a Saudi and they financed it. Iran hasn’t done shit to us really. Not saying I like a bunch of retarded mullahs, but they weren’t a threat.
Logically in a tinfoil world, we pull off some false flag here that we attribute to Iran and then there is zero pushback on attacking them. That’s how tinfoil thinkers imagine the world works.
Yet now, very best case scenario for Trump is this is a one and done, and he retains 75% of his base. Twenty-five percent will always think he’s Bibi’s bitch now and never view him the same. A lot of them just don’t like Jews under any circumstance. He’ll pick up a few Jews on the left, but they are so small in numbers it doesn’t matter from a math standpoint.
They might still consider him better than the other side, but he’s lost that young emerging demo he was building who largely hate Israel.
In that light, I’d say it’s kind of a brave act if he really believed it was necessary or was fooled into thinking it was necessary. But there is usually more to the story with him and you find he got paid. Miriam all ready gave him $100 million.
But like if he loses 10 Americans because of something everyone knows wasn’t done for America first in any way, he loses way more. Let it turn into more troops on the ground in the Middle East and he’s a 3 year lame duck.
I can’t ever recall a US strike against anything that wasn’t initially met with a wave of patriotism. This hasn’t been at all. Forget the Dems. A good amount of his people hate this and think he got worked.
Weird spot. I hope they were as bad as Israel contends. I don’t blame them. It’s totally understandable for them to want to crush Iran. If they were lying about this being imminent, I blame us for falling for it. Actually Trump gets the blame solely. His own intelligence told him they had nothing and he struck without congressional approval on his own with very little upside.
The only way this is ever positive is if Iran actually launches some nuke at Israel now. Then you were right and they were right. But that’s not a win you want.
This was just a really poorly executed run up and explanation for why it needed done. To go from your own intelligence chief saying they had nothing a few months ago to this is just nuts. Then to run on no new wars and do something that could possibly turn into one. Makes zero sense. No one made a case for why this is necessary at all. Same weeks away for 30 years, yet we have to do this now.
I wouldn’t want to be some immigrant just working and minding my own business this week. He’s really down and will be looking for something to distract and try to reenergize his base. I’d stay at home if I was an immigrant and could afford it for a week. He will be looking to start a fight with them. His only real popular position. People hate tariffs. People hate his decision here. They like seeing him ship immigrants out.
