The Thunder are -570 for tomorrow night's game. What is the basis for this? I agree that they are more likely to win under these circumstances, but to bet this line one has to assume that they are going to win 8.5 out of 10 times. That seems a little absurd given what we just witnessed. The Pacers outshot them badly the entire game, and once they settled in and stopped turning the ball over they clearly outplayed them. Their coach will absolutely make more adjustments to clean up their transition play. Seriously, the Thunder have crazy depth and are only good at forcing the ball and attacking the ball in full court situations. Their half court defense isn't that great once a team slows the game down and focuses on protecting the ball.
yall faggots goin out like 04 lakers
Yeah seems pretty absurd line. Indiana has shown repeatedly this postseason that they can:
1) Win on the road
2) Come back from seemingly insurmountable late deficits on the road
The Thunder are an inconsistent team -- sometimes great, sometimes out to lunch. The Pacers have been the only consistent team this postseaason.
Jalen Williams and Chet shot extremely poorly, missing a lot of shots they normally make; and SGA had a below average game for his standards. There is no reason to assume the Thunder will shot so poorly tonight.
Indiana scoring 111 in Game 1 was around their projection; so you cant really say the Thunder defense underperformed or Indiana exploited something. The Thunder were just expected to score 118 and didn't. And between Williams and Chet you can easily find 4 missed layups or wide open 3's.
As many turnovers as Indiana committed in the first half, the Thunder didn't do a very good job converting them into transition buckets as they normally do. I am just saying the bookmakers aren't necessarily missing something. The expectation is the Thunder will play much better offensively and probably similar defensively (probably Indiana will commit less turnovers, but Thunder will be a little better on converting turnovers into points).
And if you disagree feel free to bet on it.
Siakam and Haliburton combined for 33 points and they still won.
Their combined regular season average is only 38. Their combined projection based on scoring props this game is only 37. Halliburton especially is very high variance. For all the 30 point games, there is plenty of 10 point games, that Indy still won.
Halliburton and siakam underscored their regular season average by 5. Williams and Holmgen underscored by 13.
Druff was on the Pacers, credit where due. They are legit good.
As noted on the broadcast, OKC was gassed by these guys.
Thunder still -225/-250. They made a lot of dumb mistakes but still played pretty well.

Last night was a glimpse back to what the "shoot threes, play no defense" era of basketball has stolen from us.

The Pacers blew this game (and most likely the series, sadly) by letting them hang around, but these bullshit calls and non calls were really the difference at the end. I will be happy for my family in the area that are diehard Thunder fans, I even have a relative that works for the team, but geez, this guy is just the most disgusting athlete to watch in my lifetime. He is getting away with elbowing/pushing off every time he gets the ball in addition to the chickenshit foul calls and flops.
lol @ ESPN pimping this series as one of the best ever. It’s clear that Mickey Mouse is pissed as hell about paying a king’s ransom to broadcast the Finals, and word has been sent down to hype the shit out of it.
Did not expect a Pacers blowout.
OKC was cooked like six minutes in, looked legit rattled. Cannot recall them laying down like that before.
Really hope Haliburton avoids the Achilles tear, playing on a calf strain like 3 days later in nuts. Durant snapped like a rubber band after resting it for nearly a month in 2019.
Game 7 will either be a rock fight or an OKC blowout, no idea what i would pick.

The only play tomorrow night is Pacers moneyline. The Thunder at home are probably going to win, but let's hope they don't.
