I just sat through a meeting about charging stations. It’s some kind of god given right that all businesses provide them. I didn’t know that. I do now.

Installing a pair of chargers that support 4 spaces would cost $91k. The gubmint will pay $71k of that amount.

Yeah, I wanna graffiti some EV’s. The industry is dystopian.

    counterpoint:

    1) xiaomi. supercars for price of a model y base.

    2)

Given the plummeting resale value of those sleds don’t discount the possibility the owners torched their own car.

Being upside down on the loan sucks. Be happy for them.

I learned how long it takes to charge for 50 miles on a type 2. All the while I’m thinking in one or two years charger technology will make what we just installed obsolete.

Of course, you simply cannot voice such thoughts. It’s all on the governments dime.

BYD will never touch American soil. Elon won’t allow it. Existential threat. There is nothing NOTHING free market capitalism about EV’s

But as I’ve said, keep EV opinions to anonymous forums or you’ll be deported

How many of those smoky Teslas were insured by Tesla you think?

    There’s a fun thought

BYD / xiaomi / etc are all going to end up in vending machines at every 7-11 and elons going to have bigger fish to fry when he has to carpool to court with rudy.

Libs only know one response to disagreeing with something -- violence and/or wanton destruction.

They somehow think that being really angry justifies them burning down businesses, blocking roads, destroying cars, setting fires, beating people up, and even committing murder.

As long as it's for a "good cause", right?

They need to treat this as domestic terrorism (which it is), track down the perpetrators, and give them super-stiff sentences. You need to get control of behavior like this before it spreads through society like a virus.

One of my cars is 10 years old, has 121k miles, and has a bad oil leak which would be a lot of money to fix.

I will be getting rid of it very soon.

I have been considering Tesla. I do have some reservations about Tesla, though:

    1) The inability of the car to go 300 hilly miles without stopping for recharge sucks. Killer for someone who goes between LA and Vegas a lot, like me. Teslas can go over 300, but not with the mountainous terrain like what exists between LA and Vegas.

    2) Tesla is notoriously rigid with their rules, and their customer service sucks. It's their way or the highway.

    3) I do not want to re-learn the feel of the nonstandard steering wheel (though you can get a piece to add to it to make it feel more natural), nor the regenerative braking. I'm 53 years old, been driving for 37 years, and don't want to learn to drive all over again.

    There are some pluses:

    1) Can charge at home so you basically never need to bother with getting it charged on the road, except on long trips. This is preferable to normal cars, where every so often you run out of gas, even just driving locally, and it can be a pain in the ass.

    2) Far fewer parts, and overall simpler mechanical design. In short, there's a lot less that can go wrong. I ran very well for awhile with my cars having relatively few problems, but the last few years have sucked, with both of my cars having recurring (and expensive) issues.

    3) Self driving mode is the best in the business right now, from what I hear. However, I am not interested in using that feature unless I'm either sick, tired, or wanting to sightsee while on the road. That would only make up a very small percentage of my driving. It would be nice to not worry about how awake I am when driving to/from Vegas, and also to have a car be able to drive for me when I'm sick. On New Years Eve, I went to urgent care with what turned out to be Influenza A, but was unable to drive myself, so I had to get someone else to drive me. Would have been nice to have had a self-driving car to get me there on its own.

    4) Triggering the libs.

I might end up getting a hybrid, but Tesla doesn't make those.

    It's possible to be both.

Here's a good example -- a soy Toronto hairdresser who decided to roundhouse kick a woman at an anti-abortion protest:

There is a place in Ventura County that both Druff and I have been to that has a large storage lot of new Teslas. I would not be surprised if that place gets hit next.

I recently came across one in Old Greenwich, Connecticut that was full of new cars. I thought it might have been a dealership at first, but it was entirely fenced in and seemed pretty much deserted - I realized then that I had seen several of these in different states. I guess since they don't have nearly the number of dealerships as other manufacturers that they ship inventory and parts to intermediary lots and warehouses and distribute as needed from there. This is a bad thing for the current situation.

not an Elon fan at all (before it got trendy) , and definitely don't like the cars being vandalized , even though he is a top tier hypocrite , so destroying secondary market cars and putting firefighters at risk (because putting out Tesla's is not like putting out a regular car ) is a big no no for me..

but as calling this "terrorism" as opposed to real terrorism is a bit laughable.

we don't even know if this is a form of self sabotage by Elon or if it's done by non Democrats for other purposes (shorted stock , part of a co that benefited before doge got their eyes on them )

The two simps Desertrunner and Druff driving their EV thru Musk’s Boring Company tunnel beneath Las Vegas and mooning over other futuristic Elon fund raising hustles

How much government funding did Elon receive for his attempt at EV battery swapping stations and tech.

Fraud and grift writ so large Druff is blind

I know precisely what you felt when you read that. My pleasure sir.

We are living in what is unquestionably the most interesting moment in American history if you remove all partisan interest in the outcome.

Druff still miming Ben Shapiro identity politics and missing the rest of the game.
