Basically I'm doing this to keep our little community alive, rather than just let it get eaten by the passage of time and the rise of social media. At the same time, I refuse to monetize it because that could compromise my freedom to run it how I want, so not only does it fail to produce revenue, but I lose a little bit on it every year. Cue the jokes about running it at a loss.

While we all appreciate you hosting the site for like 50 regular users, I am afraid to break the news but all 50 users would simply shrug their shoulders if you closed the site. You are not doing this for us, rather for you. As far as not monetizing the site out of the nobility of free speech, um this site is never going to make money whether you wanted it or not. It really has nothing to do with anything you have done, or not done (like getting a forum moderator). It's message boards have completely collapsed and they are never coming back.

As far as you getting all $70,000 or whatever for this poker player from a poker site, where is the article on Cardplayer or something that you alone got this man his money? Why is he not posting his gratification here on this forum? I mean if you did do this 100% on your own at no cost and great effort, I would think you would be some type of folk lore legend at this point in the poker community. It's just odd its not made any news whatsoever. Now I could have missed the media attention, not sure. I just had not heard about any of this until, well yesterday.

Who am I to dispute a twitter repost on vegasslotsonline I mean lets be real?

I am not suggesting you made the entire story up, I am sure you sent a couple emails and maybe they helped get the guy paid who knows? But this notion you have been ferreting out poker scams for years is a bunch of bullshit. There have been plenty of scams that originated on this site. Jasep, The Templar, even our own DJ Chaps initiated a mild scam. I mean give me a fucking break. You solved no perpetual scams with this site, you even allowed a roulette hustler to advertise his products here. Whatever, it's your site.

Regarding the radio show, it's not a "delusion" that it gets thousands of listeners. It does. Even YouTube, which wasn't a listening option until late 2023, gets around 500 views per episode, and most of the people listen elsewhere. It's just mostly a different crowd than the forum.

I have a smaller audience than some other poker/gambling podcasts out there, but it's a big enough audience to where I deem it worth doing. If it were 50 listeners, I would have quit many years ago.

If you take a look at my Twitter, you'll see that I recently helped someone who got stiffed out of $87k by Bovada. This was an issue which impacted only a small group of people, but my highlighting of the matter on Twitter got 90,000 views in about 24 hours, and Bovada changed course and paid the guy. This was after about 5 weeks of refusing to pay him and refusing to even let him talk to a manager, where he was basically shut down and told "tough luck". I got him paid $87k within a day. Same thing with that girl Mandi who was almost stiffed out of $240k by Ignition in late 2022. They shut her down, until I made a big deal about it, and again they paid her within a day.

Why am I telling you guys this? Because obviously I do have a social media following and influence in the industry. When I choose to bring up a matter, I can bring public attention to it and get things resolved. People who lack that following or standing in the industry come to me for help, because often their attempts to bring attention to the matter fail. And I'm glad to help them, because I don't like seeing people get ripped off.

I could be perfectly happy shutting down this forum, or even just eliminating this section, and just continuing to do my thing on social media, which is where the action is nowadays.

I don't shut it down because I'm trying to hold together this community, even with the social criticism and sometimes ostracism that comes with some of the content I allow here.

But again, if you think I'm keeping this forum up just to stroke my ego to a few old right wing men showing me admiration, you're always welcome to go elsewhere.

For those who appreciate the effort I put into this forum and site, thank you, and I appreciate you back.

I have almost a 1.000 batting average in getting people paid when online poker or casino sites have fucked them.

The recent Bovada $87k situation was completely ignored until I got it 90,000 views in one day on Twitter. That's what got the guy paid. If I had no influence and no audience, I'd have failed like everyone else who tried to solve it before I was brought into the matter.

I've also gotten people paid when individuals have scammed them, though those situations are tougher, because blood from a stone and all that.

I also solved a situation in 2022 where money was being directly stolen by insiders from people's ACR accounts, and withdrawn via crypto. The perpetrators were hitting no-name players, so the issue wasn't getting attention, and ACR's own security team was asleep at the switch, even when they got complaints. I was the one who figured the whole thing out and got everyone paid back by ACR, and they also closed the security hole which allowed it to happen.

I could go on and on.

The truth is, though, I don't need this section of the PFA forum to do any of this. I could delete this whole Flying Stupidity subforum and nobody relevant in poker would give a shit or even notice. I leave this part up as a continuation of the NWP community which started in 2004.

I doubt a single person from this forum has sent a penny to Joe Crapier, or ever will. When this occurs for the first time, let me know and we'll revisit it.
