Both Trump and Putin want this war over. They both want to mine the raw earth there to recover costs. Putin doesn't want a US base on his doorstep, which is reasonable. I understand why Ukraine would want us there but its the raw earth business that will keep everything calm.
I admire him trying to stick up for his country but the best thing long term is to sign the deal and accept the new normal.

You are all wrong, I felt sorry for this zelensky guy, Think about it his country is getting attacked and he's gone for an interview with two guys talking about whatever, The last thing on this mans mind is to be there in an interview while people are dying and his country is being attacked talking about whatever.
If your home was getting attacked from the outside and you had to defend yourself from the inside with a few people helping, And a guy sent you money for bullets, would the last place on earth for you be an interview with the guy giving you money outside your house in a safe location ? ?
