Basically the US is a small government. How can government expenditure be the problem? The problem is government income being to small because of constant tax breaks for the rich.

The only solution is to increase taxation not to shrink an already comparably small government.

Factor in tariffs wich will certainly have a negative effect on growth, as well as the tech bubble finally about to pop with China surpassing US companies, and you actually start to wonder is this the moment?

The correct solution would of course be to increase taxes from the 1 % since they hold a total wealth of 43 trillion USD, but this is of course not what Trump and his tech bros want, so they will basically do everything except tax the rich lol.

1. The government spending is not the problem. As I have already explained, you will not reduce debt by decreasing government spending because the debt far exceed the GDP. If you cut government spending by 1 trillion you effectively cut GDP by 1 trillion, and this will worsen your debt to gdp ratio.

2. The problem is that the US isn’t taxing the top 1 % or even top 10 % nearly enough. They hold 70 % of all private wealth yet pay hardly any taxes. The US is unique in its low taxation of the wealthy.

3. The US government expediture itself is comparably small when you look at other developed economies:"

you fail to grasp what's important: it's the type of taxation that is occurring. income taxes are absurdly high on anyone who produces. they are not taxing wealth, and under taxing capital gains -- at least as compared to income taxes. also, the stepped up basis at death allows tremendous wealth to go untaxed. don't misunderstand me, i am for lower taxes all around. but the narrative never digs into the details, bc that would be hard, and it's easier to get folks frothy at the mouth with the usual trite comments.

more importantly, so few of us actually pay any taxes at all. and don't spout off about payroll taxes, lol. most people receive from their guvment. that has to change. if you don't have skin in the game how do you think things will go? exactly as they are. tick, tock.

Wouldn’t be interesting to be able to dig deep into the lives of the couple here that hate Trump so much. Split and others have been here much longer than me so may already know why.

What is wrong in your life to hate the man so much that you want him and the country to fail? Is it just typical fear of losing handouts like many of the left? Accountability? Responsibility? It certainly can’t be a fear of higher taxes or stock market losses, though we may take a short term hit over tariffs because the market always overreacts.

Are they gay or trans and feel they are going to be singled out? Government workers (highly doubtful) that have been drifting by for years? Possibly illegals or friends with them afraid they are going to be sent back to where they illegally came from? Worried about WW3 when they didn’t with Biden? Hate Jews and are upset Israel will become a bigger ally again?

Do they not like Trump because of jealousy that he became rich and famous like we all have/had the opportunity to? Because he gets hot women? Had beautiful kids that aren’t crack addicts?

It honestly makes no sense to normal Americans that want the country to succeed. But again, maybe it’s just 2 or 3 posting under socks which seems to be what goes on here daily.
