I don't know exactly what he did. Your five minutes on the internet and mine are wildly disparate. I didn't see anything definitive as to details, but I have seen these types of cases pop up. A buddy who is a lawyer when talking about defending a dude we both grew up with told me he was shocked how common it was. And he told me they are a bitch to defend in a world where judges are elected. He must have actually had a good lawyer to originally get a fair sentence before he fucked up.
That for whatever reason, guys our age start going down the rabbit hole and the next thing you know they end up really fucked up. The dude we knew had little kid shit also and got a boatload of time and they made him do every minute. After I heard what he had, I was cheering for a shanking, but it's bizarre. They usually house all the kiddie freaks together, I don't find 23 year olds titillating at this age. If i see a beautiful woman in a movie or show I will think what a looker, but not in some dirty old man way. I can't imagine staring at some image of a kid and not wanting to vomit.
I figured it wasn't the worst shit given the original sentence, but I also know it wasn't some decade old photoshop and some angry cop who took 8 years to get justice when even I knew what 4dragons name was from his profile on one of the sites and I am not exactly a tech wiz. It's not a crime where you want to get caught up in some grey area, but usually there is some volume of material found. Not just one random image.
What a way to destroy your life and wear a scarlet letter forever, but he morphed over the years into a very angry cat, so it didn't shock me. Dude was so bitter about everything those last few years.
