if you fuck up on parole/supervision and they revoke you, you can get your time extended very easily. I would guess he got some new similar charges as that will get you revoked and then charged with new shit. It's not hard getting revoked but if you did everything else required of you they most likely would not revoke you for being unable to pay fees. It appeared he got incarcerated because he was in violation of probation terms -- perhaps just because he wasn't paying his fees as required. States tend to be pretty hard line with probation violations. If you don't look like you're taking the probationary terms seriously, they revoke it and throw you in the slammer.
Why this got extended is beyond me. Perhaps he caused some problem while in prison?
