trump had 44 cabinet secretaries. 40 of them don't support his 2024 campaign. Zeigt die Nüsse.
This is so cringe.
That's Kamala Harris' video entry in lieu of her attendance of the Catholic "Al Smith Dinner", which has been a tradition for Presidential candidates to attend.
Not only was her snub of the dinner a bad idea, but that video (with Molly Shannon's painfully unfunny revival of her "Superstar" character) was so awful. How does her campaign put shit like this out and think it will come off well?
What was supposed to be funny/entertaining about this? "Oh, I remember when Molly Shannon did that character on SNL 25 years ago!"
This campaign is feeling more and more finished by the day.
That skit wasn't funny when it originally aired in the 90s. To your point anyone under the age of 40 has no idea what that character is. I barely remember it at age 50, its not like I was sitting home on a Saturday Night watching SNL in my 20s with any frequency. She stiffed the Cardinal, and blew off Netanyahu. Yet she makes time for the Whose your Daddy host, whoever that is. She has completely alienated white working class men, I am not sure why she determined that is a good strategy, but when your sounding board is the View what do you expect. I have yet to meet anyone white voting for Harris. I am sure they exist, I just have not met them.
A lot of Trumps jokes fell flat too, but that was meh. Can’t believe they made a movie with that SNL bit.
I though Gaffigan did a good job even though I know he ain’t voting Trump.
Guess Party of Joy didn’t work, now party of shrill?

The video sent to the Catholic dinner was a perfect example of the problem with the Harris campaign.
It was written by educated white women for educated white women. That skit did not appeal to any other demographic. The rest of us found it cringe. Educated white women are already voting for Kamala, so they don't need to further appeal to them. It's like nobody at the Harris/Walz campaign has any clue how to appeal to average men.
The entire video came off awkward, unfunny, and lame. It didn't fit with the entire "roast" theme of the evening. Trump didn't read his lines particularly well (I'm guessing he didn't rehearse at all, as per usual), but at least the jokes themselves were moderately funny, and did fit in with the night's theme. Plus he was there, and she wasn't.
Kamala's video was horrible because half of it was overly serious/preachy, while the other half was attempting to be funny but failing miserably. Why they decided to revive one of the lesser-liked 1990s SNL characters for this is beyond me. I'm not kidding that, if given the job, I could have written a much better script for Kamala, and definitely could have written it to appeal to the male demographic where she's struggling. And I'm no expert script/comedy writer. But it was so bad to where I'm 100% sure I could have done far better.
Texter, Jim Gaffigan is not necessarily voting for Kamala. For a long time he hated Trump and had major TDS, but in recent years he's started to come around. He even appeared on Rogan and expressed some doubts regarding how the government handled the January 6 matter. He was very negative about Kamala at the dinner, and seemed to have disdain for her. I could tell he was somewhat pissed that she thought she was too good to show up. He also thought the video was beyond cringe. I could easily see him quietly voting for Trump.
shithead plays a game. spot the sniper.

It could have been Gaffigan. He despised Trump for years.
I just think that he's one of those libs who has started to come around and realize that the modern incarnation of his party sucks. Bill Maher is another example of this. Actually I probably still couldn't see Gaffigan voting Trump, but I could easily see him voting third party. It was very clear from that dinner that he didn't like Kamala, and had no respect for her.
