Clearly if they wanted Trump to win, they would have had her speak positively of him, not negatively. And since it's basically a binary choice in US Presidential elections, that means we can conclude which candidate they want to see emerge victorious.
It's actually smart to bribe right wing influencers to try to turn the base against Trump, rather than pay lefties to bash him, or to run ads against him. Most pro-Trump right wingers can't be swayed... unless another right winger they respect is speaking out against him.
Unfortunately the average simpleton will equate "Russian money going to conservative influencers" with "Russia wants Trump to win", so this will be a (bullshit) line of attack for years to come.
anything that bashes something is good trolling, but they dont need to control narratives, they can simply amplify anything thats good trolling because it inflames partisan friction.
its why russia also sets up BLM puppet pages, for example. and why jill stein was so weirdly over-represented. and why tulsi is now.
its like that bit about trolling; the point isnt the opinion you post, the point is the 50 people smashing keys because you posted it.
example; if kamala gets elected, russia will inflame global extremism on both sides of the aisle and then finance the influencers pointing at it and saying 'this is the result of progressive politics' the loudest.
the reason why they would prefer a trump win is because he is going to do 90% of that for free.
