Biden has been super predictable in his foreign policy, especially when it comes to Russia. They probably want more of the same in Kamala, who is likely to do foreign policy in whichever way her DNC advisers tell her to do.
If you're Putin, that's a WAY easier situation to deal with than a wildcard like Trump.

There currently is a coordinated movement to turn the far right against Trump. It started at the same time as the "Trump is not pro-life enough" narrative on social media. I don't know anything about Fuentes other than him being of Mexican descent and associated with whatever "groypers" are, but a brief investigation shows he has ties to Lauren Chen.

I wouldn't say just "ties", I'd say years of very strong ties to Fuentes. A quick search on x shows video after video of her defending him and indications that they likely routinely communicate and coordinate talking points.

Russia has different objectives and narratives. And they paid Chen to help push them via her network of content creators, as well as her own content. But that still doesn't answer why they had Chen start bashing Trump.
Clearly if they wanted Trump to win, they would have had her speak positively of him, not negatively. And since it's basically a binary choice in US Presidential elections, that means we can conclude which candidate they want to see emerge victorious.
It's actually smart to bribe right wing influencers to try to turn the base against Trump, rather than pay lefties to bash him, or to run ads against him. Most pro-Trump right wingers can't be swayed... unless another right winger they respect is speaking out against him.
Unfortunately the average simpleton will equate "Russian money going to conservative influencers" with "Russia wants Trump to win", so this will be a (bullshit) line of attack for years to come.
