So it looks like I have long COVID.
Both COVID infections I've gotten were from the WSOP -- one in 2022, one in 2024.
Both were mild cases. The 2024 was a little bit worse, and I had it during the Main Event, which wasn't great.
However, the worst part about the 2024 version was that it left behind a fairly bad cough which just isn't improving. I first had symptoms on July 7, and the cough hasn't improved one bit. It comes on most often when I talk, so I've avoided doing radio for that reason. Probably gonna suck it up and try anyway this week.
There are some reports of post-COVID coughs lasting as long as 18 months. Sucks if that's what happens to me.
I also have the frequent need to clear my throat, which I'm sure is related.
