yes, they did. but it was vastly different times. there are more of them now. lots more. the time to fight has past. the greatest generation really wasn't. this was all on their watch. they encouraged, allowed, supported, and then failed to remedy their decisions -- which they left us to deal with (same as their debt and failed social programs). there will be no reckoning - not the kind which you hope for at least.
