Elon Musk's son Xavier was born in 2004.
In 2021, he texted his aunt that he was transitioning to be a girl named "Vivian Jenna Wilson", and didn't want Elon to know.
At the time, Xavier was attending a $50k/year private school. He also said that he was a communist and hated rich people (lol).
He claimed he signed the paperwork to allow Xavier's transition because he "didn't fully understand" what had happened, and was told that Xavier would be at a high risk of suicide if he didn't. Xavier/Vivian became estranged from Musk soon after, as Musk battled with him regarding his communist politics and made various critical statements about trans people on social media.
He blames the woke private school Xavier attended for putting ideas in his head, both regarding the communism and the trans stuff.
He did an interview with Jordan Peterson talking about it:

Do I believe Musk? Kind of. I think he was a crappy and absentee father, so he can't really cry foul when things go awry with how his son developed. I periodically check with Benjamin in a non-judgmental way to understand his views on things, and to gently probe regarding what is being taught in his school. Fortunately he hasn't been influenced by any modern nonsense, and his school isn't particularly woke. But if you are a hands-off parent and let the other parent raise them, a lot of the fault is yours when shit goes wrong.
Do I believe the school might have influenced Xavier? Yes. There are many woke private schools out there, especially in liberal states like California and New York, where the leftist propaganda is even worse than the public schools.
Is it possible that this was a big motivating factor for Musk to buy Twitter for way too much money, and attempt to influence the public conversation on woke-type matters? Yes.
But he also can't play the role of great parents whose kid was stolen by woke propaganda in the schools.
