MGM Grand Denies Woman 127k Progressive on Table Game for Alleged Panhandling Incident

Should be a fun topic whenever Druff does the next radio show!

Of course the person denies knowledge of any ban and is trying to sue the Casino for damages!

Wasn’t there an incident where someone Knew they had a Playing restriction at their local gambling hole, kept going and ultimately hit a $2000 jackpot and was Paid and THEN promptly kicked out??? Or am I mistaken and all Bans negate any and all potential jackpot payouts?

If she was really banned, she has no case.

I was willing to be open to the idea that she had a ban she didn't know about (similar to mine at Venetian), until I read that she knew exactly about the so-called "panhandling" incident from 2015, and had an excuse for it. If the ban were a surprise, she wouldn't have such a clear memory as to what they confused for panhandling.

My guess is that she felt the ban was bullshit (and perhaps it was stupid, but nonetheless it was a ban), and then came back and kept playing. She figured it was cool because nobody kicked her for 8 years, and then she hit the jackpot and suddenly she wasn't being paid.

    It comes down to this:

Was she using her card while gambling for these 8 years? If yes, she could make a reasonable argument that they knew she was banned and chose to let her keep playing for all that time, and thus the ban should be deemed invalid for the purposes of this jackpot.

If she was NOT using her card, they can simply claim they didn't know she was still coming and gambling there, and they will probably win their case.
