Damn Cantu is guaranteed like $45 or $50k. How long will the line at the cage be?

Druff's gotta be pushing 250-260 in that pic judging by the shirt sleeves. Not hating but he's a big fucking boy who made money this series.
Physical stamina was an issue this time.
Picked up a WSOP cold (in a year where I’ve mostly avoided getting sick, even with Ben bringing home a million colds from school) and symptoms showed Day 2.
Also have a back problem, which has good and bad days. Day 3 both issues were really bad, yet I did well and was playing well.
But I could feel on Day 4 I just kind of ran out of the ability to play as well as I previously had. Early Day 4 I handled that Euro to my left really well, but then when I started missing everything and also on the worst day of the cold, I just wasn’t playing my A game anymore. But that’s part of the Main, keeping up good play the entire grind. Didn’t do anything egregiously bad, but could’ve done better.
What’s weird about the pics is they took 2 better pics of me when I saw them there and posed for it, on Days 1 and 3, and they never appeared online.
Instead I got the day 2 one where I am making a funny face and my hair/beard is all messy.
To answer Pooh, I’m not 250-260. I’m around 240. As I said, I gained weight due to a foot problem which lasted 5 months until it was solved with the right meds.
Whos Todd Witterles?![]()
Are we going to finally see the 2nd female ever to make the final table?
Dont look now but Krissy Foxen last I checked was chip leader at one table but seems to have dropped back. She was close to 20M in chips now over 10M. Not sure if shes the last female standing at this point but it looks like if shes not there may only be 1 maybe 2 and Shes been just rock solid. Kinda rooting for her to make the FT.
Day Ended with her 17th with 14,5M
Three other notables in contention still
Joe Serock 13.175M 20th in Chips
Brian Rast 12.165M 22nd in Chips
Cantu 4.8M 47th in Chips (to be fair Cantu has turned into a rock and should've been already out playing literally with a 10 BB stack but dwindling at 2x that rate due to 500k per orbit 100/200k + 200K BB Ante)
51 left going into Day 7 and Foxen still very much in the mix to be only the second Female FT member in history besides Barbara Enright.
I'm off the medicine like 95% of the time. When my foot starts to hurt again, I take the meds, wait 24 hours, it significantly improves after a full day passes, and then it completely gets better within another 24-48 hours. Then I quit the meds until it comes back, which can be anywhere from weeks to months later. It's a freaking miracle drug. Nothing else I tried could touch the problem. I gained 20 pounds because I went all those months struggling to walk, so I just sat on the couch except for very essential things. I was so thrilled when the doctor found something that worked for me, after various failures.
When my back gets all better, I plan to exercise the 20 pounds back off.
So guess what, guys?
I was sitting at home tonight and I thought to myself, "You know... I really should make sure that this cold plaguing me since Day 2 is really just a cold."
So I took a COVID test and.....
I had no idea. I really thought it was a cold.
Here's the WSOP Main timeline:
Day 1 (July 5): Felt great. Probably caught it while playing. Overall a good day where I finished well above average.
Off day (July 6): Felt normal.
Day 2 (July 7): Woke up tired and with sore throat. Hoped it was from Vegas dryness and the AC blowing in my mouth while sleeping. Felt very low energy for first 4 hours or so, but somehow drinking a Naked Juice made me feel significantly better, and while my throat still hurt, I didn't otherwise feel sick. Again a good day where I finished well above average.
Off day (July 8): Sore throat vanished. Turned into nasal congestion. Totally felt like a cold. At night, I was having difficulty sleeping from congestion getting in my throat. I was also getting brief chills, but I attributed it to the AC turning on and off. I kind of felt like I might have a low grade fever, but not sure.
Day 3 (July 9): Lousy day physically. Very runny nose I had to keep blowing during event. Back issues started ramping up again (probably unrelated, as I've had this for weeks). Would not have played cash like this, but obviously I couldn't just bail out of WSOP Main. Despite feeling awful physically, I played well and bagged nearly double average stack.
Day 4 (July 10): Runny nose was peaking and I was blowing my nose every 10 minutes or so. Still felt better than the previous day, but clearly still had a cold, or so I thought. Busted on this day in the evening.
July 11: Slept a lot, did some shit around Vegas I had been putting off, and then bounced outta town. Drive was uneventful and I didn't feel terrible. But definitely still had a cold.
July 12: Got home early morning. Felt something was weird because usually my colds clear very fast after peaking, and here it peaked 48 hours prior, got a little better, but wasn't really going away. Took COVID test, clear positive which showed up after just 3 minutes!
July 13 (3am): I'm feeling low energy like Jeb Bush and starting to get muscle and joint pain. So while I probably caught it a week ago, and have had symptoms for 6 full days, it seems like it might be getting worse. But maybe I'll sleep it off and it won't get much worse.
No fever, no smell or taste issues, no stomach issues.
I did notice I was having a little trouble concentrating in the middle of Day 4, and that it was preventing me from playing my A game. I have been beating myself up about it since busting, but now I don't feel as bad, knowing I was playing with COVID since Day 2.
Imagine if I were still in it now, and having to play through COVID.
A lot of players at WSOP Main are payoff monkeys. I've seen it over and over. How do you think I've made it to deep Day 3 or better in 9 of the past 14 Mains (and 5 of the past 7)?
Kristen Foxen is without a doubt the best female tournament player out there nowadays. She's someone who is a legit great tourney player, not just a great female player. Maria Ho has gotten very good, as well, though she's better at mixed events than NL holdem.
I could easily see her making the final table, or even winning it.
There's another female still in the field -- an Asian chick I've never heard of.
As far as known names in the remaining 59, there's Brandon Cantu (who likely does not have a large piece of himself), Niklas "Lena900" Astedt, Stephen Song, Brian Rast, and that's pretty much it. Jonathan Tamayo used to play the Pokerstars limit holdem games a lot as "driverseati".
MORE LIKE GAYVID WHEN YOU HAVE IT
Shundan Xiao, female, is 2nd in chips with just under 24 million. She was born in China and lives in San Jose. Her biggest previous cash was for 9k.
