bulls -3
If anyone has access to a draftkings sportsbook that wants to put those clumbsy fuckers in a uncomfortable posistion I would strongly consider betting James Wood to win NL ROY
I cant see them keeping him down in AAA much longer. It was a total joke he didnt break with the team out of camp. He has destroyed AAA so far. No other player in the NL has a strong hold and Wood has a lot of hype from people who follow minor leauge baseball.
+3000 may not win in the end, but I promise you short of a ACL tear it will be live at some point
Good tip!
Yoshi Yamamoto hasn't been consistent, and may not finish with great numbers.
Jackson Chourio is off to a somewhat slow start.
Michael Busch had that string of HR and has great numbers right now, but could easily fall off. He was a disappointment in the Dodgers organization, which is why they jettisoned him for very little (still a dumb move, though).
Shota Imanaga is what they were hoping Yamamoto would be, but it's questionable if he can keep up this dominance.
Jung Hoo Lee is doing okay, but he's a contact hitter and won't put up power numbers.
So those are the main threats to beat Wood, who seems to have improved his plate discipline (the biggest concern about him).
Not only is +3000 a good buy, but anything +1800 or better is a good buy as well, in my opinion.
Boston +105 (Bello) at Pittsburgh (Priester)
Quinn Priester appeared in 10 games last year, starting 8, and pitched to a 7.74 ERA.
He was a semi-high-level prospect, and disappointed the Pirates last year.
He's back, after a mediocre start in the minors (3.95 ERA, 20/5 K-BB ratio).
It's possible that Priester rights this ship in 2024, but I don't think it's going to happen on the road in Boston.
Another one starting soon:
Washington (Gore) +136 vs Houston (Verlander)
Justin Verlander is 41, and coming off an injury. In a 77-pitch rehab start, he gave up 5 ER and 7 hits. He will be limited to 85 pitches at most. This has disaster written all over it, even against a bad Washington team.
On the flip side, Mackenzie Gore, once a bust of a high-level prospect, seems to be "finding it" in 2024, both with increased velocity and much better numbers. He's 25, so perhaps he is just hitting his stride a bit late. In any case, he's the far better pitcher in this matchup, at least for now.
Oh I don't forget him. He's on my fantasy team. But yeah he has a shot too, and is off to a good start.
I can't find action on this one, unfortunately. No BOL, no Bovada, Betanysports has me limited to $4 on it at +2200 (wish I were kidding).
Guess I gotta find a person with a DK account who I trust to pay me if it hits.
the heat are +14 @ Boston tmrw… has anyone ever seen a line like that in the playoffs???
Two things PGA
1. We going to need w/o Scottie lines going forward, at least for a few weeks
2. Im going to hate myself for telling everyone to bet Theegala as he will win one soon…. Only to not bet him this week…. Only to have him win becuase Meredith (Mrs Scottie) pops tonight and he WDs
Tampa (Littel) -106 vs Detroit (Skubal)
Hadn't seen anything from Daly yet on these matters, but I am liking +170 Nix 1st round. Feel like he will be the 5th QB drafted (over Penix)
Might be 6 1st rd?
Maye #2 pick value also?
