Thats another one of those stories that always seems absurd to me. Like Daryl Kile 20+ years ago. You would think when surrounded by the best of the best of doctors, that there might have been some knowledge?

Granted, Milojevic spent his playing career/most of coaching career in Serbia-ish; Kile was right in the prime of the steroid era. But still.
In Kile's case, there was definitely some medical malpractice. His father died of a heart attack in his 40s. This should have been known by team doctors, who should have been extra vigilant in testing Kile for any potential heart issues. Often heart-related deaths prior to 50 are due to a genetic issue.

Kile was not said to have any symptoms before the night when he died in his hotel room, but it was thought that they probably could have caught his hardened arteries had they been looking out for it.
