While it's possible that Antifa was in the Capitol making things worse, the vast majority of people there were Trump supporters. That's a fact.

It's also a fact that Trump did not plan upon this happening, nor did he encourage people to do it. Trump envisioned a mass protest outside the Capitol which would convince Congress to hold off certifying the election results. That was stupid, but not illegal.

I still maintain that the destructive, murderous BLM riots which crippled some cities for months were FAR worse than the Capitol riots, which lasted a few hours and only resulted in the death of a rioter.

I don’t know if Trump actually planned the events of Jan 6 or not. I certainly think he knew it was a possibility and he wasn’t opposed to it happening. With that said, once the riots broke out he did absolutely nothing. He was informed of what was going on, that people were inside calling for Pence’s head. There are recordings of Pence’s Secret Service detail calling loved ones because at that point they didn’t know if they were getting out safely. Informed of this what did the orange man do? He sat down and watched the news for 2 hours and then issued a statement the Mike Pence was a traitor. That alone should be reason enough for anyone to never vote for that sack of shit again.
