I’m heavy on Bama tmrw. It’s an imperfect Bama team, but talent-laden and got way better throughout season.
Michigan plays fundamentally sound on every unit, but lack gamebreakers. I think UM could jump out to the lead and there might be some live betting spots also.
Those really aggressive defenses at any level, college or pro, their kryptonite is always mobile QBs. You look at the Steelers defense holding everyone to 10 points for that stretch, then Jordan Love and Kyler with bad teams ate them up. Those kids that can buy an extra five seconds to look downfield or move the chains occasionally with their feet.
Um didn’t face a QB like Bama has all year. Their closest game was against Tua’s little brother. They struggled against Maryland and it was a 5 point game in the 4th and needed a stop.
That Bama QB is far superior to Tua Jr and they have wideouts that will be wide open if he evades the first wave.
I’m more concerned with Baja’s defense. Michigan is the king of the 12 play 9 minute drives. No deep threats, but fantastic at getting 7 yards on 3rd and 5.
If Bama can get off the field, they’ll win easily. Not allow those 9 minute drives. If not, could be higher scoring than expected.
Harbaugh 1-6 in bowls. He’s up against a top tier coach with more talent. UM could win, but it would be a surprise. They’ve played perfectly though a few times. Games with no turnovers and very few penalties. They’ll need another one.
