Why would the Dodgers pay Trout $400m for Center Field (part time) if they have a young Outman for $400m less.

Trout’s playoff experience - that last great Dodger hurdle and boogie man?

It’s stupid so it’s in Friedman’s wheelhouse. He’s all about summer fun and filling seats. I wouldn’t.
Yeah I highly doubt that is real.

Trout has barely any trade value right now. He's played in less than 50% of the possible games over the last 3 years, and his production has naturally tailed off because of the injuries. He's owed another 7 yrs/260m for his age 32-38 seasons.

There's something to be said about his fame level..."spend money to make money" and etc. Dodgers don't need that, they always have stars.

I wouldn't trade Outman 1-for-1 for Trout right now. Greatest player of a generation, but that time has seemingly passed.
