Brothers do you understand I have been in similar situations where having $700 would be a dream?

Brothers have you ever been Langkawi, Malaysia staring at an ATM balance praying to god it was showing the balance in USD not Malaysian Ringgit but knowing the answer.

Brothers Tyde is an inspiration. All day yesterday I sat in my office dreaming of hitting the road. I pretended "maybe I will finish early and just cruise A1A for a few hours". Instead I sat on my computer and worked all day and all night fixing a problem that has been plaguing me for months and will continue for several more months.

Guys like Tgull are the "marks" while thinking they are the "sharps". Save up, max out that 401k, don't think of spending money on a nice place by the beach. Live in a windowless studio in the middle of nowhere. Don't take any risks. Never live on the wild side. Then maybe when you are 70 you will be able to afford to take a cruise and reasonably afford the on shore excursion.
Brother, I resonate to your tales of being on the road and the incomparable feelings elicited "just going."
When I got out of the Navy I had $500 and a VW microbus painted with Day-Glo spray cans. I drove across the country picking up hitch-hikers and just going wherever we felt like. Saw the worlds largest hand-dug well. Camped at the bottom of the Grand Canyon.
When I got to Los Angeles I left the bus with a Navy friend and flew to Hawaii and married the lifeguard I had met four years earlier working at a state park in Missouri. Started new travel adventures. 60 day unlimited Eurail Pass in Europe. Running out of food in Kalalau Valley on Kauai and living on sand crabs and mangoes.
The Fool is my favorite Tarot card.
So, yeah, I'm always rooting for anyone taking a big step off the cliff with an eye toward the heavens! Keep on testifying, Brother Pipes!
