I early bet the Charger -3 next week with the perfectly reasonable assumption they would play it side by side with the Ravens game, so they would be playing for the 5 seed.
However, they decided to play Raven game in the morning, so Chargers could very likely be playing for nothing and know it, and the line instantly moved to +2 to compensate. So I have -3 on a +2 bet. Talk about the opposite of closing line value.
Why would the NFL schedule to make a game possibly meaningless when it doesn't have to? Is there a Taylor Swift concert that night?
I don't think Miami is gonna cover here. They erased the 10-point deficit but have been unable to pull away. Every time they pull into a tie, they fall behind again, and then catch back up to a tie.
Right now 80-79 MIA. They're just not playing well against this shorthanded Lakers. But maybe they'll turn it on here in the 4th.
Haven't even bothered to look at Ravens spread, but they are going to get SMOKED you can bet your life on that.
This will be over by halftime. And they have nothing in the tank to backdoor cover even in that scenario. The only weapon they have on offense is Dobbins and he will be irrelevant by the end of the 1st quarter with them down 10-0. This could get real ugly, real quick.

Some of the Barstool guys played at the 2022 WSOP, and one of them was at Allen Kessler's table. Kessler was being Kessler, and I guess they got into some argument. The Barstool guy went onto Twitter to shame him, and it went really, really badly. The poker community wasn't having it.
Basically the attitude was that you earn the right to talk shit about Kessler by being one of us. You can't come in as an outsider, pretend you belong, and then bash him on Twitter. The response was fast and harsh, and the Barstool guys backed down after initially trying to band together and stand up to the poker players criticizing them.
Unfortunately the whole thing took a woke turn when people started linking articles about Barstool being sexist, blah blah blah, and I lost interest, as did most other people.
I've done poorly on these big dog spreads in college basketball. I might have to quit them. 8.5 isn't huge, but it's still big. This was a battle of two shit teams which I thought would be close.
Long Island held close throughout most of 1H, but has just melted down. Amazing how these dog college teams never seem to come back when down at 1H. I might take advantage of that going forward. Seems like almost a lock that the underdog team behind at the half is going to get killed in 2H.
