Missed this response from last week.
I read a number of left wing articles, and watch some left wing media. I will admit TYT is basically unwatchable and I find myself shutting it off within a few minutes, but at least I try. I like to hear and read the arguments from the other side. Sometimes I will read right wing articles or watch right wing shows, and I will think I'm not getting the whole story. Of course, left wing media is often very guilty of this as well. In short, I'm not an echo chamber guy. This is also why I ask radio listeners to text me with things they don't like about the show (as well as what they do like), because I truly want to know this.
The big problem with TYT is the personalities involved. All of them are grating and frustrating to watch. Cenk comes off as a loud asshole, Ana Kasparian comes off as a bitch, and then they have a parade of third hosts which tends to consist of shrill feminists and soy males. I contrast this with guys like John Oliver, whom I don't agree with politically, but at least are entertaining and pleasant to watch.
