there was some oped that dropped a few days ago and it really made some waves and one of the really banger points it made about crypto in general was that once upon a time, if you understood market structure and auction theory, of course you got into crypto. like of course. and if you had technical aptitude, you contributed. and those two parties got very, _very_ rich. 100 times out of 100. just an absolute lock.
and the other 98% of the pile are gambletards and that whole furu / tiktok ecosystem but still, once upon a time, people like SBF and his ilk created literal empires from electronic dust.
and (my personal opinion here) now almost all of them are going to lose it all trying to figure out what to do next.
