My kid didn’t do any boosters. He got Covid 3 weeks ago. His taste is still screwed up. Little tired. Otherwise fine.

He said he is losing weight cause food isn’t fun anymore. He really can’t afford to lose weight either.

I know a lot of Covid people. Most were boosted and really have nothing to report. His sister got it - same biology but boosted - and she just had the sniffles.

We will see in 30 years who made the right choice. Doubtless there will be some new crud between now and then.

I’ve heard similar. I think the 3rd had good value. I think I wasted my time on the 4th. If I knew then what I knew now, I’d have likely skipped it or waited. Going forward, I’ll wait with something this mild.

I completely agree with you the 4th is of limited value. Nevertheless, I just got the 4th 2 days ago. I did it to keep the peace with my wife. I fear her wrath more than some future vax related health issues.

Just to get ahead of Sonatine's or Jimmy's eventual post on this, the NYT just posted a story bragging that for the first time in the history of the pandemic the current Covid-19 mortality rate for white Americans is higher than minority groups. This is of course disinformation, which is par for the course for the NYT.

If you age adjust, white Americans still have significantly lower Covid rates than blacks and hispanics. What appears to be happening is that at this point in the pandemic only very old people are dying from Covid (this has always been the case, but is even more pronounced now), and a much higher % of the white population is old compared to other races.

So here we are.

I would guess a couple confounding factors.

1. Boosted people are generally more likely to get tested if asymptomatic or mild symptoms for a variety of reasons
a. Generally more vigilant and staying on top of their health
b. Job requirements to get tested

2. Unboosted people have probably had Covid more times, and more recently, and have temporary immunity from getting the disease itself. I think that is something we forget (this is intentional IMO, the establishment wants us to forget it) in all the vaccination narrative, that getting the disease itself will actually give you better and longer temporary immunity moving forward than the vaccine.
