As a dem, I agree men shouldn't compete in women's sports.

But Druff's "destroying women's sports" is a bit much. What a bummer for you guys because you GOP's are always talking about how great women's sports are, right? LOL.
We are talking about one swim meet. A swim meet that not one person here had ever heard of, or even heard of one person in that entire swim meet.

I already explained this earlier in the thread.

You don't have to "care" about something a lot in order to care about it being corrupted or hijacked by cheaters.

I am not particularly interested in women's sports. I do care if women's sports get hijacked by male cheaters who otherwise are average when competing against other male athletes. I care about pandering and corrupt media and political figures who go along with this cheating, in order not to rock the boat with certain political narratives.

The question should be whether men in women's sports is right or wrong, not whether Republicans are allowed to state their opinions. Democrats don't want to directly answer the right/wrong question because they know deep down that this is cheating and very unjust to real women who worked their asses off to get where they were, only to have titles and records stolen from them by male cheaters.

You guys? Who are you referring to? Do you think its appropriate to pass judgments like this about people you don't know? You're saying you agree that men shouldn't be in women's sports but then make it a political rant about Trump and Putin. Do you think its fair to make assumptions about groups of people and question their patriotism? Did you serve your country in time of peace or war? I admit I don't follow women's sports nearly as much as Druff does but I am curious about one thing. Let's face it, no one gives a shit about college women's sports. But what about the big leagues, the WTA? As far as I understand the WTA has zero transgender players but they are technically not banned either. So why are we not seeing trans athletes here? It's clearly the most money and being biologically male puts you at a very large advantage.

I admit I don't follow women's sports nearly as much as Druff does but I am curious about one thing. Let's face it, no one gives a shit about college women's sports. But what about the big leagues, the WTA? As far as I understand the WTA has zero transgender players but they are technically not banned either. So why are we not seeing trans athletes here? It's clearly the most money and being biologically male puts you at a very large advantage.

Biden seems to give a shit, because during his first week in office, he signed an executive order that all schools receiving federal funding could not ban transgender athletes from playing in the women's leagues.

Not sure about the pro leagues but they can do what they want, since they are private organizations. I think they know that nobody is going to watch if dudes start getting in there and dominating all the women, so they just avoid the topic and don't allow dudes in there. I'm sure soon enough there's going to be faux-outrage from the left at how such-and-such transgender person can't get into the pro league, and there will be a big controversy about it.

I saw a ridiculous argument yesterday from the left regarding Lia Thomas:

"I just saw that Lia's Thomas times got significantly worse than when she was in the male leagues, due to the hormone treatments. So this proves our assertion that the hormones make it fair. It appears that the conservatives are just upset that her times didn't drop enough, to where she loses?"

Such bullshit reasoning.

By that logic, it would be fair for me to play basketball against 8-year-olds when I've only had 2 hours of sleep, because I wouldn't be as good as I would normally. If anyone objected, I could simply say, "Hey, I'm tired, and not playing as well as usual! How is that not enough?"

It is funny how the left loves to posture about being the party of intellectuals who are about the science, yet they're literally trying to argue why men should be in women's sports, and why that's not unfair.

Of course this is the party that still is masking 3-year-olds outdoors in some cities, so there you go.
