Folks, I have a little bit of inside information on this. As you might guess, there have been multiple complaints about CM's channel for a long time, especially by victims who were scammed by him. Of course, for the past two years, nothing was done.

However, a longtime PFA Radio listener contacted me tonight and told me a secret. They had been directly in contact with someone at YouTube's legal department about CM's channel, even though they weren't personally victimized (nor did they claim to be). They laid out a very clear case as to what was going on, and were told that the matter would be thoroughly investigated. About a week later, CM's channel vanished.

They sent me proof of this back-and-forth. I was not aware this person was doing it untli tonight, when they came forward and let me know what they had been doing behind the scenes.

They did not receive any confirmation from YouTube that it was their complaint which did it, as that's usually against YouTube's policy. However, the timing is very interesting.

Unless anyone got direct feedback from YouTube that Chrissy's channel was removed due to their complaint, nobody can take credit for the channel's removal.

There are a shitload of people who have grown to hate Chrissy over the past 2 years, including scam victims. As I've said before, the challenge is to get YouTube to look at complaints seriously, which can especially be tough with someone like Chrissy, who doesn't commit obivous TOS violations. This ban clearly occurred because someone at YouTube actually took a moment to closely watch his content, and realized that it really was a scam.

Why do I say this?

Because Chrissy did not have two strikes. I know this because there was no 2-week gap in any of his videos since he reopened the channel in the middle of last year. The strikes he had prior to the reopening have long fallen off. In fact, I don't even think Chrissy had one active strike.

However, YouTube will terminate channels with either repeated violations or a harmful general theme. It appears the latter is what finally did him in.

As I mentioned earlier, I was contacted by a PFA Radio listener shortly after the account was terminated. He showed me an exchange he had with YouTube's legal department last week. He laid it out clearly to them, and they responded that they would look at it closely. The timing here (1 week) is correct for YouTube to have looked at it and taken action to terminate.

However, he never got a response back from them, so it is unclear if he was the one who got the ball rolling. I had no idea he had done this until tonight, nor was I even aware that he was interested in the CM saga.

Anyway, is it very likely that a certain individual is going to take false credit (like he did last time, and then it turned out Chrissy wasn't even banned), and of course will provide no evdience that he had anything to do with it.

We know how honest he always is about stuff like this.

What will be interesting here is whether he is able to get monetized again on the new channel. He’ll get the required subscribers and watch time quickly. But when you then ask to be monetized YouTube actually looks at the channel and decides how it should be rated for monetization. It might be at that moment where they figure out it’s the same content all over again and get rid of him. I would assume there has to be sone sort of tracking that prevents people they’ve shut down from simply coming back on a new channel and posting the same content that got them banned previously.

Yeah, without giving too much away (I don't want to give Chrissy any hints), I have a feeling he's not bright enough to appear as if he's a completely new person.

Whether YouTube cares is a different story, especially since the channel has existed since September 2019.
