Also not a svartskalle (black skull), bara finnjävel (literal translation is Finnish devil).

The neighborhood was part of "Miljonprogrammet" public housing project. They built around million apartments. Apparently white flight has been a thing in most of those areas since the 80s. From talking to random Swedes, people from that area use the name of the municipality instead of the locality. Now the area is mostly svartskalle and Yogoslavs. Swedes call these places as "vulnerable areas", "risk areas" and "especially vulnerable areas".

Fairly sure i've been through this before, but in the early 20th century 1/6 ethnic Finns lived in US. First Finnish settlers lived near Delaware river in the 17th century.

Druff you forgot to mention the time you got followed home from a Lakers game by a car full of miscreants.

    Among other things...

    - In the late '80s one of my good friends lived in Carson, and I spent a lot of time at his house

    - In the late '80s, I spent a lot of time in the Van Nuys area of the San Fernando Valley, which wasn't (and still isn't) a good neighborhood

    - In the early-mid '90s, I lived in eastern Riverside, which at the time was a very violent place (it's since been cleaned up somewhat)

    - In the mid-late '90s, I worked in Compton

I even lived in a neighborhood in 2000s Las Vegas which wasn't particularly good at night.

One thing that can't be said about me was that I sheltered myself in gated suburbs and didn't see the gritty parts of LA. I haven't been afraid to venture into bad neighborhoods. I just told a story on radio that, in 2006, my then-girlfriend and I asked for a tour of the "real Ocho Rios" where we'd be taken into the parts of the city where the tourists didn't go, so we could see Jamaican life as it actually was.

Hell, you can't even play in an LA area poker room without setting foot in an area with at least somewhat of a crime problem.

I think gimmick believes he's an expert on US crime because he can use google. It doesn't work that way.
druff use to go to the corner store in Compton on his lunch break at the coding job, show some respect gimmick

This is such an odd thread where Druff is worried about the well being of women. Definitely out of character for him.

He was getting annihilated by everyone in the COVID thread so he threw Team Retard some low hanging fruit to slobber over. Can only get cucked so much.

He's a committed misogynist, just parroting the talking points from the right that makes the monkeys dance, or in this case, bounce around on their crutches. Being anti Title IX used to be the play, now its the poor collegiate records of sports he's never watched.

    LOL @ "committed misogynist"

The left loves to label you some kind of bigot when you state the reality they're trying to avoid.

In this case, the reality is that they're fighting hard to force men into women's sports and women's locker rooms.

I can't wait to see Sloppy Joe's attitude about this in the future when some freak has his dick hanging out in the girl's locker room with his daughter, ogling everyone in the shower. He'll probably be afraid to complain about it, for fear of losing his woke Portland soyboy card.

Look you can joke about this all you want, but I wasn't just going to let gimmick sit there and post that I was the sheltered mama's boy who didn't see the life outside the suburban bubble, while he hung out with Sven the Swedish bandido at the Miljonprogrammet.

I spent a lot of time hanging out in shit areas of southern CA when I was younger, probably more time than I should have, now that I look back on it. These days I have much less exposure to shitty areas unless I'm going to play poker, but back in the day I saw plenty.

The guy is living in Finland which has tiny pockets of crime here and there, so it's a lot easier to sit there from 6,000 miles away and talk about how the US should be handling its longtime chronic problem. Mighty easy to keep releasing 'em back on the street as part of a grand leftist social experiment, if you have a big ocean separating you from them.

People read the board over the years. Guarantee a poll would have over 90% of followers label you as a misogynist, with your nut garglers being the only nays.

I don't give a fuck about trans issues, and may indeed object to a hypothetical daughter having to compete against trans athletes.

But you don't care at all about the sanctity of women's sports. I don't either. You're just parroting talking points.

The opinion of retarded trolls on the forum doesn't mean anything. In my 20+ years in poker, I've always treated women respectfully at the table. Never a single incident of talking down or making advances. That's how I've always been away from poker, as well.

I don't care about women's sports, but I do care about fairness. The delusional anti-science left has decided that women's spaces don't matter anymore, and that any man who says he's a woman is automatically equivalent to one in all ways. This may not be your position, but that's what you're voting for every time you cast a ballot. Enjoy.

And for how much time would his family actually have stayed in the ghettos of Stockholm once all the refugees arrived? Couple weeks? The crime here in US happens in random places and it never stops happening. Never. And the wars dont stop either. So please gimmick, Sanlamar has already ruled against you. I bet it was more widespread in Stockholm when you were there. I don't doubt that. But the atrocities here are far more long lasting and increasingly malicious. We live in a world where you're actually arguably wrong not to walk around with a concealed weapon in your home and everywhere you go. I'm sure the whore's and drunks and pickpockets and gangsters made life harder but you're safe now and we never will be again. Shits wicked whack here Gimmick

When I started the job, a lot of fellow computer dorks there told me not to go out into that neighborhood, and to just eat at the wokplace cafeteria. I did this for like 2-3 days and got sick of the shitty food there really fast.

So I started going out every day to a rotation of places where I was a regular. Because the area was mostly industrial/commercial, it wasn't that bad during the day. But it was Compton, and this was the 1990s when crime was pretty bad.

One of the times I went to Jack in the Box for the drive thru, I saw it was closed off with police tape, so I went somewhere else and wondered what happened.

Turned out that a guy was carjacked in the drive thru lane and stupidly refused to give up his keys, and was shot dead. Happened about 45 minutes before I got there. The victim was rich and owned a nearby large business, and obviously had insurance. Not clear why he decided to risk his life to protect the car. Funny enough, I was taking a late lunch that day, and would have been there right around the moment of the carjacking had I gone at the normal time.

There’s zero percent chance Druff gets to say he’s from the streets of Compton on NWP or DD without there being 100 quality photoshops by nights end.

I can picture Druff reciting this phrase in old fashioned white as can be Jew speak at the 7-11 on the corner back in his stomping grounds:

“ But now that I got this little company
Everybody wanna come to me like it was some disease
But you won't get a crumb from me
'Cause I'm from the streets of Compton
I told 'em all, all them little gangstas
Who you think helped mold 'em all”

I was just born there. We left when i was 3. It was an immigrant neighborhood then and it still is. Just the color of immigrants changed. Doesn't really matter. Point was that between me and Druff, one of us was born in the projects.

When talking about safety and whatever Americans don't really understand what WWII, collapse of USSR and civil war in Yugoslavia did just for starters. My father was born in a part of Finland that now belongs to Russia. My great grandfather fought in Finnish civil war. When my parents moved back from Sweden we lived a few years in the same house. He lived to 95. My older brother did two tours in Yugoslavia. None of this is out of the ordinary. I have fairly good idea what war is.

When Soviet Union collapsed everything was for sale. Criminals in Europe have had a fairly good supply of military hardware ever since. Nice thing about Kalashnikovs is that they're made to last. All Nordic countries have conscription and as a result there are weapon depots all over the place. Most of the time larger criminal groups avoid wars, because they tend to get out of hand. Last major feud where Finns were involved was the Nordic Biker Wars in the mid 90s. They used anti-tank rockets, grenades and other random explosives to blow up each others club houses and related businesses.

Wiki about it is close enough...
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nordic_Biker_War
...Sweden is getting out of hand again though. Mostly not bikers though.

Almost nobody wants innocent people in jail. I think a good majority now would say simple drug use is not a good reason to incarcerate anyone. However, there are a lot of murders and rapes here and as Sanlmar so credibly points out we have a major problem with gun violence. People kill their own kids and put them in dumpsters. Horrific, unspeakable crimes happen here every day. Those who commit those crimes belong in jail, incapable of causing further harm to society. Nobody wants there to be injustice. I almost always respect and appreciate what you have to say Gimmick but, to point to our prison numbers as something other than there being a real and dangerous crime problem is not your best moment imo.
To be fair, country, you don't live in a city... far from it.

I live and work in one of the horrible cities you visualize when you post, and don't recognize at all what you describe.
