The neighborhood was part of "Miljonprogrammet" public housing project. They built around million apartments. Apparently white flight has been a thing in most of those areas since the 80s. From talking to random Swedes, people from that area use the name of the municipality instead of the locality. Now the area is mostly svartskalle and Yogoslavs. Swedes call these places as "vulnerable areas", "risk areas" and "especially vulnerable areas".
Fairly sure i've been through this before, but in the early 20th century 1/6 ethnic Finns lived in US. First Finnish settlers lived near Delaware river in the 17th century.
