On the two posts above great points, and really should be mentioned because it is not in this thread yet. The Borgata did not end this tournament, its very clear in the wording the Department of Gaming "ordered" this tournament be ended and prize pool suspended.
Obviously this could be par for the course, but it also kinda make you wonder, was Borgata trying to run the event to conclusion, and DGE "ordered" it to be stopped. The Borgata is a poker player haven on the east coast, surely Dealers, Staff etc are very well aware of a vast majority of players, not saying that was part of this, I just find the wording interesting that the Tournament was "ordered" stopped by the DGE and not Borgata.
It sounds like the DGE pulled rank on the Borgata on the surface, but why.
