Tom Dwan and Full Tilt Poker have parted ways.
PokerListings.com has confirmed that high-stakes poker pro Tom “Durrrr” Dwan is no longer one of the sponsored Full Tilt Poker “Professionals”.
Dwan's removal from the FTP Professionals web page sparked interest on poker forum 2+2 today and PokerListings.com contacted Full Tilt Poker for an official statement.
“Full Tilt Poker and Tom Dwan have agreed to part ways following the recent expiration of Dwan’s contract,” said a Full Tilt Poker spokesperson.
“To have one of the most respected names in poker on our team has been a great pleasure. We will continue to watch Tom at the tables and wish him every success in the future.”
Dwan has been shying away from online poker on Full Tilt, opting instead to play live cash games in Macau. He's also been conspicuosly absent from the FTP promotions that Gus Hansen and Viktor Blom, the other two FTP Professionals, have been part of since the site's relaunch.
Dwan was also missing at the much-hyped Full Tilt Poker Galway festival and turned up four hours late for a promotional heads-up battle between The Professionals and Team PokerStars Pro at EPT London.
Dwan has also failed to continue with the durrrr Challenge against Dan "Jungleman12" Cates despite reportedly incurring financial penalties for not playing.
