Also, a little bit about Nick. Nick was not a full time Police Officer. He was a reserve officer. Does a reserve officer look the same to the general public? Yes. Reserve officers are used when more officers are needed usually due to a special event like a County Fair. They are still sworn officers. In many jurisdictions you must sign up to work at least 12 hours per month. Most reserve officers have other careers. Most reserve officers do it as a “status” thing. I could totally see Nick using the “I’m a cop” whenever and wherever it benefits him.
