Where were you gonna rent The Interview from?
It's hilarious that we as a society think everyone can be a dr, a lawyer, an engineer. Some people are just fucking stupid. Why can't we just accept that?

    Watched Birdman last night...7/10.

Great acting, great filming but I grew weary of the 'single-shot' feeling.

I know that the degree of difficulty for that film was off the charts but I'm not a film aficionado and don't really have much appreciation for stuff like that.

Of the Oscar movies from his year that I've seen I would go Whiplash, Grand Budapest Hotel, Birdman and Boyhood in order.

No Good Deed- meh, was watchable but probably 6/10
The Equalizer- was pretty good. The plot was kind of odd to follow (meaning why the fuck did he get involved? Just bored? And did I miss how he was a fucking badass randomly?)

Rewatched American Sniper again as that movie is bad ass

The Interview- another meh 6/10 good for killing time movie

And probably going to watch Whiplash this evening if I cant find anything worthwhile on TV. Ill let you know
Suspect reviewer here IMO. You saw American Simper twice in how long a period and you rate The Interview as a 6?

It sorta tells what you like in entertainment which is to say you don't understand comedy that well but sure as hell like to see stuff blowing up real good.

I thought The Interview was quite funny, in the dumb guys screwing around genre, and that's all it was ever supposed to be. Killing time is what movies are all about anyways, unless you're watching a doc to learn something in particular.

Late to the party but just finished Birdman and holy shit did I think it was good. Great acting, script and shot really top notch. I grew up on Keaton so it was nice to see him shine again. I knew like 10 minutes in to this flick that I was already going to enjoy it.

    Children underground

Documentary about Romanian Street children that sleep in a train station in Bucharest , huff paint, fight, steal and roam around without any support at all. Pretty depressing but a decent watch. On Netflix now

I watched John Wick last night. Great action sequences and a unique take on the revenge genre.

Here's the problem with the hunger games as a whole. They can have a three hour long movie with J-Law fucking the red head who plays the Tyrell girl on Game of Thrones for 2 hours and 45 more minutes of blowing shit up. No matter what they do the last 15 minutes of dialogue is going to be based on a girls pre teen novel. There just ain't no way out of that quagmire.

If you are into the Revenge genre, check out Blue Ruin. Saw it on Netflix streaming awhile back and was pleasantly surprised. Revenge movies need rage and uneasiness, this definitely hits on both. Dont wanna add much more.

The 30 for 30 "Of Miracles and Men" was great. It was the tale of Soviet hockey from its start to when Slava Fetisov was allowed to play in the NHL. Great sports/politics documentary.

Was watching Lock Stock last night for the first time in years. The poker scene at the beginning is so funny, they're playing some weird hybrid version of three card brag I think.
